Thank you for supporting the GCAS's 2024 fundraiser for the WNMU Museum, featuring historian Carolyn O'Bagy Davis speaking on Hopi Quilts and Textiles as Cultural Artforms. The Museum will put your gift to work right away to curate, and develop exhibits of, their collections of historic documents and photos.
The WNMU Museum welcomes and appreciates donations in any amounts but the GCAS recommends a minimum $5.00 donation to the WNMU Museum from in-person attendees and Zoom participants alike. In-person attendees contribute at the Museum's front desk and have time to view the Museum’s exhibits and browse their gift shop. Zoom attendees support the Museum via the GCAS's PayPal link below or by check sent via standard mail and will receive their Zoom link after their donations are processed.
All these donations from this charity event go to the WNMU Museum.
After Ms. Davis's talk she will offer several original 25" x 30" quilted wall hangings designed and created by Hopi artist Bonnie Nampeyo Chapella. Each of Bonnie's original designs will be sold for $150. Proceeds from one of her quilts - the Butterfly Maiden shown here - will be donated to the WNMU Museum.
The GCAS and the WNMU Museum thank you so very much for your kindness.
